Mini Bio of Professor Ben S. Liu

Ben Shaw-Ching Liu is Professor Emeritus of Marketing at Lender School of Business Center, Quinnipiac University (QU), Hamden, Connecticut, USA, and Visiting Professor of Marketing, emlyon Business School, GDBA Program, Shanghai Campus. He holds Ph.D. from State University of New York at Buffalo (SUNY-Buffalo) (1991), Master of Art in Religion from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School at Chicago (2003), and Bachelor of Science & Engineering from National Cheng-Kung University, Taiwan (1977). Before coming to the US for graduate studies (1986), he worked in the industry including running his own business for 9 years. He was an Assistant Professor at University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign 1991–1999, a Visiting Professor to Washington University in St. Louis 1999-2000, and an Associate Professor of Marketing at Butler University 2000–2007, and a Full Professor of Marketing at Quinnipiac University until retired in 2022. He served as a Visiting Professor, Academic Advisor or Dissertation Examiner to various MBA, EMBA, DBA programs in China, Denmark, Hong Kong, Singapore and Taiwan. His major research interest is in the areas of service marketing, internet marketing, high-tech marketing, cross-cultural, negotiation, channel, branding and new product strategy, and more recently the application of IT in the marketing. His research has been recognized in the international academic community with various awards including articles published in various journals such as Journal of Service Research, Journal of Service Marketing, Service Industry Journal, Industrial Marketing Management, Journal of Product and Pricing, Journal of Marketing Theory & Practice, Journal of Personal Selling & Sales Management Technological Forecasting and Social Change, Enterprises Information Systems, European Journal of Innovation Management, Internet Research, Journal of Internet Commerce, International Journal of Internet Marketing and Advertising, International Journal of Business Information Systems, International Journal of Business Research & Systems, International Journal of Engineering Business Management, Library Hi Tech, Managerial and Decision Economics, etc., He was on the Editorial Boards of such journal as Journal of Service Research and has been an Elder, Lay-minister and Board member in various churches and parachurches. 劉少青教授簡介
劉少青教授(Dr. Ben S. Liu) 系美國昆寧派克大學(Quinnipiac University,Connecticut)行銷管理學名譽正教授, 法國里昂商學院上海校區企管博士班客座教授暨論文指導教授。他穫得國立成功大學(National Cheng Kung University)工程科學學士(1977),紐約州立大學水牛城分校(S.U.N.Y. at Buffalo)行銷管理學博士 (1991),芝加哥三一神學院宗教學碩士(2003)。來美國讀研究所前,在台灣工業界工作了九年,包括經營自己的企業。 曾任教於伊利諾大學香檳分校 (University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign), 聖路易市華盛頓大學 (Washington University in St. 2 Louis),印地安拿坡里斯巴特勒大學(Butler University in Indianapolis),及康乃狄 格州昆寧派克大學(Quinnipiac University)直到 2022 年退休。並在台灣、新加坡,香港,丹麥,中國許多大學的 MBA, EMBA 總裁班及 DBA 班擔任外籍教授及學術與論文指導教授。研究領域跨越新產品開發,品牌管理,營銷戰略、網絡營銷,服務質量、顧客忠誠 度滿意度, 及跨文化談判等多個領域。其卓越的研究成果獲得廣泛的國際認可. 他在下列期刊上發表了許多論文:《服務研究期刊》、《服務行銷學期刊》、《服務工業期刊》、《產品與定價期刊》、《工業行銷管理》、《科技預測與社會變遷》,《全球行銷期刊》、《市場行銷理論與實踐》, 《歐洲創新管理期刊》, 《餐飲服務系統期刊》, 《互聯網商業期刊》, 《國際網路行銷與廣告期刊》,《國際商業研究與系統期刊》,《比較國際管理期刊》, 《商業和政策研究期刊》, 《工程企業管理學報》,《學術圖書學期刊》,及《管理決策經濟學》等。 他也曾擔任《服務研究期刊》的編輯委員,教會長老,帶職傳道,及數個基督教機構的董事。 劉教授的較詳細學術紀錄可以透過以下鏈接在Quinnipiac University, Google Scholar, 及 ResearchGate 的網頁上查閱:
